Hammam Spa, Toronto

“Hammam” essentially means “spreading of warmth” and true to its name, the Hammam Spa in Toronto is designed to do just that!

Earth tones, natural rock, wood, plants, candlelight, and handmade crafts give the spa a comfortable ambience that perfectly compliments the typical Hammam rituals. Since October 2005, the Hammam Spa offers unique treatments. A favorite is the traditional Turkish bath – a 150 square meter steam-filled grotto serves not only as a means of relaxation but historically as a forum for socializing. Black Onyx bowls, filled with cold water offer a refreshing contrast to the hot steam, while scents of essential oils waft in the air and soak into the skin via steam. This sensual experience decreases stress and releases toxins from the body, all with minimal effort.
