The third place of the most powerful men in the world goes to the Russian politician Vladimir Putin. In 2000 the former president Boris Jelzin leaved office and Putin’s first period as the president of Russia began. In 2004 he won with a considerable distance the presidential voting and started his second period of presidential work. Since 2008 he has worked as prime minister of Russia and is called the secret head of the government. Putin is the man with the most influence in Russia.
