The latest piece of designer kit from Tag Heuer is called the Meridiist; it features sleek timeless design, is manufactured from rust-resistant steel and has a scratchproof sapphire glass display. The name Meridiist is a combination of ‘Meridian’ and ‘Specialist’ which suggests something in the way of a new clock. And that’s not far from the mark. Tag Heuer have long since had a reputation for producing some of the finest watches in the world and now the Swiss firm are beginning to make their mark in the world of the mobile telecommunications. The Meridiist is an exclusive piece and isn’t available in conventional cellphone stores but can only be purchased from a small number of select jewellers around the world. It might have a rather large price attached to it but like the best pieces of jewellery, you should view this as more of an investment than anything else.
