Some come to Munich's Brenner Opergrill with the sole purpose of people watching- and find they can never get enough of the stylish guests. Mostly, however, come to savor the quality of the food and the unique flair.
The Brenner Operngrill is located in an imposing, listed gallery - once the stables of the royal residence near the Bavarian State Opera House. The interior under the grand arches has class: Italian terrazzo floor, Light leather upholstered seating, welcoming wooden tables and thonet chairs. In a surface area of 784 square meters there are three restaurant sections- The bar, the pasta area and the grill section with open hearth. All dishes are handled and prepared preserving their natural flavors and are cooked over quality beach wood. Neither spices nor marinades are allowed to adulterate the authentic taste. Only olive oil, sea salt and lemon are used, with choice of trimmings. The pasta and bread are homemade and many of the desserts come from their own patisserie. The Brenner has capacity for 450 seated and 800 standing guests. In the Summer numerous additional tables are on the terrace. The Brenner isn't exactly a quiet and discrete place, but then again who lookings for that on Maximilianstraße in the center of Munich.
