Before you discover the culinary delight which is top chef Heston Blumenthal’s “Best Restaurant in the World”, you will need to discover a little of southern England’s countryside first. Hidden away around 40 minutes outside London in the village of Bray, is the seemingly unimpressive, yet extraordinary restaurant, “The Fat Duck”. In this laboratory of molecular gastronomy, you should expect to outsmart your senses and surprise your taste buds. Which culinary creation the guest awaits is right on the board: salmon in licorice jelly, snail porridge with Joselito ham, or toast flavored ice cream. What sounds odd at first, surprises and delights the senses with its marvelous flavor. And Heston Blumenthal knows what he’s doing in the true meaning of the words. Among many honors, he has been awarded three Michelin stars, 19 out of 20 possible Gault-Millau points and holds the title for “Best Restaurant in the World”.
