The River-Kasmatten makes its home in a historic building at the St. Pauli fish market, high above the docks below. In 1865, the building was occupied by freight and dock workers. Now it houses one of Hamburg’s premiere restaurants.
Diners at River-Kasmatten enter the restaurant by walking across a wooden plank into a Mediterranean terrace. Guests enjoy an awesome view of the port below from their super comfortable round woven chairs. Delicious fare is served hot and around the clock. Golden and feathered lamps and warm colors make for an elegant comfortable ambience. The lounge atmosphere gets even more relaxed when the fireplace is crackling away.
