Even if the parking lot is constantly full, the Sansibar restaurant in Sylt is hands down one of my favorite places to eat in the world.
The building itself is not especially classy – there are no chandeliers or folded cloth napkins here. It is just a group of hungry people and waitstaff in a simple house reminiscent of a Swiss ski hut. Even the curry wurst tastes good here, perhaps even better than any stand in Berlin. And even if the clientele can be extremely prominent and famous, each guest is treated here with the same care and friendliness.
