Despite various reports on her wild-child private life, Kate Moss remains one of the most admired style icons of our time.

One might imagine that the style stalkers from weekly gossip and monthly fashion magazines would have had enough of, firstly, writing about what Kate Moss was wearing when she left the house today – and then, secondly, copying her looks as soon as they leave their own homes.
But no, they don’t seem to. Just walk out onto the street and you will see how many women there are, roaming the streets, dressed in tight jeans and ballerina pumps. Where did they get that look? Yes, it was Kate Moss that dressed like this first of all.
And her power doesn’t seem to be fading. For example in the 1990s the use of her face in their campaigns helped stolid, old British fashion brand Burberry become hip and young again.
In May 2007, there were so many people gathered on Oxford Street in central London that anyone would have though they were celebrating an English victory in World Cup soccer, or something equally monumental. Turns out they were all there waiting to get inside local chain store, Top Shop, to get their hands on Kate Moss’ first self-designed fashion collection.
The people’s wish: just to look like Kate.
