President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner of Argentina is a style icon.

Argentine president, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, has been the country’s president for two terms, and in the spotlight for nearly 12 years, since assuming office after her husband (also president) died of a heart attack.
During her time in power, Ms. Fernández de Kirchner has become a controversial figure: while the Argentine business community worries her economic policies could generate inflation, the public adores her (emotional) policy agenda, which has lifted the country from its 2001 economic crash.
Whether or not you like la presidenta, there’s one thing that all of us can agree on: she’s a style diva.
To be sure, Cristina’s elegant clothing, accessories, and shoes have made her the most glamorous political figure to grace the international stage in decades.
Like Paris Hilton, Cristina never wears an outfit twice.
Argentine magazine Perfil notes that on most days, the Argentine president wears $50,000 worth of jewels: a $20,000 Rolex tennis watch or a $10,000 Bulgari; a $10,000 Safire ring; her $10,000 wedding band; and $10,000 earrings.
Peruvian newspaper El Comercio noticed that not only does she not wear the same outfit twice – Cristina might not wear the same outfit all day!
During a recent one-day visit to Lima, El Comercio said, Kirchner changed outfits four times!
In late 2011, during the United Nation’s General Assembly, Cristina apparently spent over $110,000 on shoes (20 pairs of Louboutins at $5,500 a pair) – this after a Parisian shopping spree just days earlier.
Her grace, her sense of style, her taste for luxury goods, and her socialist leanings might earn her the label "Gulfstream Liberal" - but she's a style diva all the same.
