With a reputation based on highly-refined watch works set in fairly conservative cases, Swiss watchmaker Vacheron Constantin's sporty new diving watch is a pleasant surprise.
"Overseas Dual Time" is a diving watch that offers professional jet-setters two easily selectable time zones to choose from. This function eliminates the need for globe-trotters to constantly reset the time while hopping back and forth between continents.
Despite being ideal for world-travellers, Vacheron Constantin's Dual Time was actually created less with air-travel in mind as it was for those that traverse the depths. The chronograph is water-tight for up to 80 meters, and its mix of sturdy construction and light weight makes it an excellent choice for divers. A stainless steel case, titanium dial, and pressure-resistant sapphire-glass provide excellent protection agains bumps and scratches. A classic for diving watches, and a new trend with luxury watches, the rubber armband makes this chronograph very comfortable to wear.
The Overseas Dual Time features a sleek grey and silver color-scheme, and 12 18-carat white gold accents help set off the black-capped dial. Full magnetic shielding (which contributes significantly to the mechanism's accuracy) is one of those invisible features that helps draw the line between watches in this class and many lesser models.
