With the release of the Daytona in 1968 began a new era in body design. The Daytona, with its aerodynamic masculine form and its powerful 12-cylinder roar, is a car lover’s dream.

The 365 GTB Daytona was the first among the sports cars with a front-end engine, making it Ferrari’s revolutionary model. Mocked initially as “semi-truck” by sceptics, the Daytona soon proved its dominance in the sports car market. The two-seat Sergio Pininfarina design boasted a miraculous 270 km/h top speed, making it well deserving of the name Daytona. As the name suggests, this model was made for the USA – And it was also shipped there. For those who could afford it, the Daytona’s went fast. In less than five years, each of the 1284 Daytona models were sold.
