It was the year 1915 when Mr. Ngiam Tong Boon mixed gin, cherry brandy, Cointreau, Dom Benedictine with pineapple juice, lime juice, and grenadine. The result, after a little sprucing up with Angostura pineapple piece, and cherries – the world’s first “Singapore Sling”. This world famous drink was conceived in what has become one of the world’s most famous bars, equipped with rattan chairs and peanuts all over the floor!
