Four Seasons Tented Camp, Golden Triangle, Thailand-Laos-Burma

Travel the last few kilometers to this new luxury camp at the junction of the Ruak and Mekong rivers in North Thailand on an elephant’s back and adopt your giant carrier – symbolically, of course! The adoption fee, or donation, that you give will then go into a rescue fund, administered by the hotel, for Thailand’s working elephants.
The rules were laid down well before this place was built: not a tree should be felled, so that the canvas tents, wooden walkways and platforms would perfectly integrate into the jungle setting. The Four Seasons group also planted over a million other plants around the camp, including thousands of trees and 3,000 orchids. Also planting a kitchen garden to produce natural spa products, based on local ingredients.
