A little castle in the center of Paris, protected from prying eyes by high wall and a wrought iron gate. At the end of the 19th century the building was the home of the Adolphe Thiers Foundation, a halls of residence for the best students of the Grande Nation. It was here that the Montgolfieres launched the first primitive airship. The smallest room at just 30 meters squared is a remnant of its student days but otherwise the Saint James is quite spacious and even has an introspective garden terrace, a bar and a well equipped library with 120,000 volumes. The restaurant also serves as a private club where Parisian bankers discretely close important business deals.
