Stein Eriksen Lodge – Park City, Utah, USA

The Stein Eriksen Lodge was first opened in 1982 by Olympic gold medal winner Stein Eriksen and Deer Valley founder Edgar Stern. Before his death last year at the age of 86, Stern was generally regarded as a founding father of ski racing in the United States and was significantly involved in promoting the Wasatch Mountains region of Utah as a Mecca for winter sports fans. The lodge was opened with the aim of providing the highest possible standards of service and luxury for a piste hotel. It’s furnished in a high-quality traditional American manor house style – luxurious and comfortable yet at the same time extremely practical. In addition to the 170 rooms and some exceptional suites, the hotel also offers a well-equipped 6000m2 conference center making the hotel just as attractive for business travellers as for winter sports fanatics. The hotel also boasts an award-winning kitchen while the wine list and the table service are of the highest standard. Naturally there’s an impressive spa and fitness area. The hotel lies only 45 minutes from the airport at Salt Lake City.
