Tented Camp at Meroe, North Sudan

An exclusive hotel within eyesight of the awe inspiring, floating pyramids of the “black Pharaohs” in northern Sudan?
Respectful of the 2500 year old stone colossus and by taking great care of the environment, with precarious ecological balance in this delicate wasteland a hotel inconspicuous and temporary has been built.
Which is why ten tents, with carpet flooring, wooden furnishings, balconies with oil lamps and a separate bathroom and washhouse are perfect on the site.
Instead of sucking small local springs dry, water for the resort is delivered by truck from where there is no shortage. Rubbish is burnt and buried. The kitchen mainly uses ingredients that have been grown in the resort’s own garden, approximately eight kilometers away on the more fruitful banks of the Nile.
