This is the house where the great billionaire James (Jimmy) Goldsmith spent the last years of his life. Jimmy was the father of Jemima Goldsmith, who is well known as the romantic partner of Hugh Grant.

Jimmy was not only a colorful, eccentric personality, but he was one of the first to discover the beauty of this part of the continent, long before South America became a tourist destination. Today, the villa is run by Jimmy’s daughter Alix, whose personality and flamboyant style I liked very much. As soon as you set foot in this house, you have the feeling that you are a guest in an extraordinary family.
