Superocean Heritage by Breitling

The Superocean Heritage by Swiss watch makers Breitling is a reference and tribute to the past; after all Breitling released their first ever Superocean waterproof watch back in 1957 which could function up to depths of an at the time impressive 200m. To commemorate that technical feat, Breitling have released a special edition modern version. It’s constructed from solid steel and has a face diameter of either 38 or 46mm. Power reserve can last for up to 40 hours. The strap is a brushed steel link chain with the Breitling logo embossed on the clasp fastening. As a neat nod to the watch’s historical roots, the makers have adopted the 1950s-era Breitling logo on this timepiece complete with an 18k gold signature ‘B’. The shaping of the minute hand is also evocative of ’57-era watches. As an alternative to the chic steel bracelet, a choice of three different coloured (black, blue or bronze) rubber Ocean Racer straps is also available.
