Aragawa

When most people discuss Japanese cuisine, the same old stereotypical foods come to mind: miso, rice, and raw fish. A meal at Tokyo’s Restaurant Aragawa is a wakeup call that proves that there is more to Japanese food than once thought.
Japanese restaurant Aragawa is world famous for its steaks. Located in the Shinbashi district of Tokyo, the restaurant is Japan’s first steak house. The interior looks the part, with dark wood walls and chandeliers dangling from the ceilings for a homey atmosphere. Meat is fresh from the farm. Freshness has a price, of course, but for a freshly prepared wood-grilled Sumiyaki-style steak, it’s the price you pay..
