At No. 42 on the best yachts list is the Alfa Nero from Oceanco…it’s a mighty 82m in length and looks like a 21st Century interpretation of the explorer ships of old. One reason this comparison comes to mind is that the Alfa Nero has a relatively long rear section but as opposed to holding scurvy-suffering pirates it boasts an impressive selection of leisure space including a beach bar and swimming pool – in fact the floor of the swimming pool can be elevated transforming this area into a dancefloor. The very sleek, stylish design of this vessel can in part be explained by the fact that it was masterminded in the Italy-based design offices of Nuvolari-Lenard and construction at the Netherlands shipyard was overseen by Alberto Pinto. The interior utilises an art-deco influenced mixture of hardwoods, leathers and elegant fabrics to create a unique and luxurious atmosphere.
