The World's Best Super Yachts

Sarafsa from Devonport

Even the name Sarafsa sounds exotic and so it should; this 82m craft is actually registered in Saudi Arabia and rumour has it that it belongs to the Saudi Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud. Leaving the slightly glamourous whispers about who owns the craft to one side for a moment, one this is certain; the 5-deck Sarafsa was constructed at the shipyards of Devonport in Plymouth, UK and after a four-year build programme finally set sail in 2008. One especially eye-catching feature of this yacht is its deep burgundy hull, something of a unique feature in a world where most crafts of this kind are almost always white. The name of the craft originates as a contraction of the name of the Sheikh’s only daughter, Sara Fahed Sultan Al Saud.
