The most influential taste - and style-makers

Donatella Versace, fashion designer and business woman.

Very blonde, very Italian and very talented: Donatella Versace has got a little too much of everything really. Which means she is just perfect to head the often-over-the-top fashion house, Versace.

Shortly after the murder of her brother, fashion designer Gianni Versace, Donatella had to step in and start taking part in the creative management of this Italian family business.
Within three months she had managed to complete a prêt-porter collection that was, eventually, universally acclaimed. Vogue magazine called her work “more than unbelievable”.
Following this she debuted further collections as the head designer of Versace’s main line and haute-couture collection. And she passed every test with flying colors, literally.
Over time Donatella has continued to team Italian glamour with a shot or two of rock’n’roll and through this, she’s gained some fairly well known friends and fans - Elton John, Courtney Love, Christina Aguilera and Elizabeth Hurley are all well known lovers of the label. In fact, Donatella’s own buddy, Madonna, has played a major role in Versace advertising campaigns twice now – once in 1995 and then ten years later, as a sexy secretary type.
